Philippians 1:6 and 9-11
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect
it until the day of Christ Jesus.
And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and
all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be
sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of
righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Malachi 3:1-4
“Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And
the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the
covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the Lord of hosts. “But who
can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is
like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver,
and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may
present to the Lord offerings in righteousness. Then the offering of Judah and
Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old and as in former years.
